FAQ · 3 October 2026

Can I claim training on private health?

Possibly. Some private health funds pay a benefit towards exercise programs under their extras cover. Whether yours does depends on your fund and your level of cover, so the only way to know is to ask them.

What to ask your fund

  1. Does my extras cover include a benefit for exercise programs, personal training or health management programs?
  2. What do I need to claim it? Some funds ask for a letter from your doctor, or have their own form to be filled in.
  3. Is there a yearly limit, and does a waiting period apply?

What we can do

We can give you a receipt for your sessions to claim with. If your fund has a form that needs details from us, bring it in and we will fill in our part.

Good to know

Functional Patterns Surf Coast is a training facility, not a medical or allied health provider, so we can’t tell you what your policy covers and cover is never guaranteed. This is general information, not advice about your policy. Your fund has the final say.
